He has 30 years’ experience as a qualified physiotherapist in public, private hospitals, own private practice, and higher education institutions HEI) combined as a clinician, educator and researcher. Twenty-three (23) years of the 30 years was spent in leadership positions in different South African HEIs.

    - 1996-2000 June: Junior and senior physiotherapist/HOD at George Stegmann hospital (now Moses Kotane district hospital) in Northwest province.  

    - 2000-2015: Senior physiotherapist, weekend and public holidays for Dawn Hansen private physiotherapy practice, Sunninghill Netcare private hospital, Johannesburg  

    - 2000-2015: Lecturer and senior lecturer, employed by the University of the Witwatersrand.
